We Did It Our Way

Have you ever wanted to see all the different ways a fabric is used?  Wonder what everyone has done with a certain print?  Or just want to see how everyone else interprets a fabric?  Our admin team decided to challenge ourselves to do just that!  We picked out two different fabrics, the Lesley Modal and the Venice Medalions DBP, and got to work.

It's amazing how the medium of fabric has an endless world of possibilities.  We all see and interpret them differently, coming together and sharing our ideas becomes such a therapeutic process.

Venice Medallions DBP:

The Venice Medallions has a very spring/summertime feel to it.  With being DBP, it makes it so versatile!  They came up with some fantastic ideas.

Stephanie - "I had an idea to try out this dress as boho style separates for a while: a crop top and flowy maxi skirt. When I saw the Venice dbp, it had the perfect boho feel to it that I was looking for, and I really love how it turned out!"

Barbie - "I chose to make leggings for my daughter and I because we both love matching one another and leggings are our favorite!"

Patterns for Pirates - Peg Legs, Made for Mermaids - Bonny Leggings

Tara - "I chose the pattern I did because I wanted to get in on the romper trend but have been repeatedly unsuccessful at getting r.t.w. to fit properly in the past. Although I might make a few little tweaks for the next one, I’m pretty pleased with the end result!"

Cynthia - "I was inspired by this boutique dress to use DBP for a light and breezy dress that I can wear in TX in the heat of summer!"

Sinclair Patterns - Dakota Dress

Alexis - "This fabric reminded me of summer. I chose this dress for it so I could run errands, go to the park, or even Church all Summer and be put together."

Lesley Modal:

The Lesley is so vibrant!  The colors in it pop right off the fabric.  Being modal, it has such a lovely drape and breathability to it.

Sonia - "I love mashing patterns because it gives each one an endless amount of options! For this challenge I wanted something that I could wear through spring and summer. The end result? An amazingly comfortable romper that I can wear everywhere!"

Mash up of Patterns for Pirates - Sunshine, Made for Mermaids - Sierra

Alyssa - "I am a sucker for a basic tee, I can dress them up or wear them casually every day.  This modal is so vibrant and flowy, I knew I needed it as a comfy tee!"

Hey June Patterns - Union St. Tee

Chey - "I love the way this Lesley modal drapes in the front with this shirt.  It gave it some dimension and a little interest to make it a little more than just a shirt ."

Love Notions Patterns - Serenity

Cynthia - "I love using modal for summer because of its cool, soft hand and drape! Using this style, I was able to play with the stripes of the Lesley!"

New Horizon's - Key West Tank

Heidi - "I chose a full length maxi because modal is light and breathable. I will be able to wear it all summer.  I also love the visual interest that is created by using the stripes vertically on the skirt."
