I recently spoke with Liz King, the founder of Little Lizard King, about her sewing story, and what makes Little Lizard King so special:
My mom sewed throughout my entire life. It wasn't until I had a little girl of my own that my interest in sewing piqued. I could not afford the boutique brands, so I started making my own. Twelve years ago, most people had no idea what a PDF pattern was.
I started LLK in order to teach others how to sew children's clothing - first via a blog which then quickly transformed into a company. Sometimes I pinch myself when I look at where we are now, and I'm deeply thankful for the incredible team that makes up Little Lizard King.
Today, we are primarily known for our wide array of children's patterns, but over the past couple of years, we have launched a women's line which is incredibly exciting. Not only can we continue to sew for our children as they get older, but we also thoroughly enjoy self-sewing. And - we have our first plus-size pattern in the works!
I could not do any of this without my team. We have wonderfully talented people that make LLK possible.
